Shockingly, I've just said goodbye to my second piggy Logan :bye:

He follows his brother Chester, who we sadly lost only 6 days ago.

Logan was a lovely, happy, cheeky boy. I never thought my boys really got on, but in the end the loss of his friend hit him hard. He obviously loved him dearly.

The losses of both my boys so close together is hard to cope with. Completely heartbroken and hoping my boys never ever felt let down by me in any way. Always tried to do what was best for them, and in the end had their welfare and quality of life uppermost. The decisions we have to make for our pets are so tough.

Thank you to all who helped and cared on here116942 116940116941

BIG HUGS
I am so very sorry; I was rather worried about Logan being able to make it through the weekend and hold out until any medication could kick in. It rather sounded to me that he may have already started to go into organ failure when you posted yesterday evening. :(

Try to see your two boys as much as possible as a pair and mourn for them together as a pair. From my own experiences, it can help to try to take consolation in them being together again the way they wanted to.

Please take your time to grieve. You haven't failed either boy and you have given them both a good life and plenty of love and good care, as much as you could. Feeling guilty and feeling like you have failed your boys is typical for the onset of the grieving process and is a normal expression of the fact that you care so much.
You can't hurry on the grieving process, and you always have to grieve as much as you have loved; they are the two sides of the same coin.

RIP Chester and Logan - popcorn together at the Rainbow Bridge!

Thank you! Logan really wasn't in a good way, I ended up taking him to OOH vet because I just couldn't allow him to suffer through another night as things were getting worse. I only wish I had acted sooner, but his recent behaviour was confusing and didn't realise the severity of what was going on at first, coupled with my head not being in a good place from just losing my other boy too... I aim to cling onto the good memories, and put his final days behind me. That link is really helpful, thank you.

Going to miss my boys so much, they have shared so much love and got me through some rough times.

It is so tough when something like this happens, and you are so not prepared and ready to face yet another loss.
But you have still done right by Logan!

Just give yourself the time to digest it all at the speed that you can cope with and be kind to yourself in the coming most painful days when your adrenaline is running out and the absence of both boys is making itself felt in all the little and large ways that you cannot brace for!

I find that I get a kind of 'grieving indigestion' when I have had too many expected deaths in a very short time because you can process only so much at any given time. That is why you can't hurry things on; take them as they come. Don't be afraid to seek support if you feel really low and raw. Talking is really the best medication and it will leave you feeling better in yourself.

@Chloe B Oh my I'm so sorry to read this about your few days and losing your two beautiful piggies.
Nature at times breaks us and we are tested through pain and anger.
What I've seen and read your two piggies Chester and Logan had a great world with you. This is why you are hurting so.
You are a Fantastic piggie slave and you sent these two to 🌈 Well loved.
Rip guys. x

So sorry that you have experienced a double loss in this way.
It is heart breaking but you only experience pain when you have loved.
Grieve for them both but be gentle with yourself as you do so

I’m so sorry that you have now lost Logan, what an awful time for you, sending hugs. he looks so like my Bill.
Sleep tight Logan with your little brother x
