Where do I begin. I first met Annie at Cavy Corner rescue when I took bereaved Wilf for a date. She didn't like other piggies who she had met, but the moment she saw Wilf that was it! She fell for him from the first second she saw him.
She was quirky, loud, so very very lovable and loved laptime snacks. She always wheeked when she heard the fridge open or the kettle boil and would be noisily waiting for her veg snacks. She, along with my other piggies, gave me something to come home to every day. She was such a companion as I watched her antics from the sofa. She was a tiny little guinea pig who made a big impression on my heart.
I am now typing this tribute through many tears. I noticed a change in her yesterday as although she came out of her hidey for her snacks, she didn't eat much. I started syringe feeding her last night but by this morning had to take her to the emergency vet as she had laboured breathing. The rest is a bit of a blur but I had to make that terrible decision to help her make the journey to the rainbow bridge where Wilf will be waiting for her.
I don't know what to do with myself right now, I can't eat, I just cry. I love you Annie so much, and I always will, my dear little piggie. I will miss you so much.
