We have had such a shock, came back from holiday to find my little boy very sick. I did not even have time to get to the vet's. Not sure what happened, my dad said he was absolutely fine that morning. His breathing was shallow and he had discharge from his nose and eyes. He could not even take the water I tried to syringe him. I held him close for comfort but he passed shortly after. I loved him so much, he was like my little baby. Goodbye Rocco. Never forgotten xx

I am so very sorry for your loss! A sudden death comes as such a shock. :(

From the symptoms, I would think either a heart attack and/or a sudden multiple organ failure. Discharge can happen in the last stages when the body breaks down. It is rather upsetting to witness. :(

Sadly, even had you had the time to get him to the vet, you would have been most likely unable to save him. Please don't feel guilty or like you failed him. Some things can happen right out of the blue without any previous warning.

Oh Rocco, your gorgeous little piggy you. It's so terrible you had to leave this place and your beloved humans. But I am sure you are strutting your stuff and have all the piggy ladies queuing up to be around you up in Guinea heaven. :inn:

Thank you all so much for your kind words, and I bet he is strutting his stuff in Guinea heaven, he was a handsome boy that's for sure and I miss him millions xx
