Senior Guinea Pig
As some of you may know, Bobby has recently been ill, he had soft poos and his belly got a bit bigger. I took him to the vets and he was put on baytril for a week which helped a bit. He still wasn't look right though. However over the last week or so he seemed to be getting so much better, he no longer had soft poos (or just the random ones anyway). He was starting to put on weight again. He was becoming himself again, his little happy, cheery self who scrambled up your arm whenever you put it into the cage, even if it was just to feed him. Such a funny little boy.
I have no idea what went wrong. I don't know why he became ill in the first place but I guess it's just one of those things. He seemed to be getting so much better yet he still passed away 8...
Although his time here was short and he was only about 5 1/2 months old, and had been with me for about 4 months, I know he had a good life and was loved greatly from the day he was born to the day he died.
I found him this morning at around 10am, curled up asleep in his tissue box. I spoke to him and he didn't wake up, nor did he run over to try and get freedom up my arm. I then expected the worse and he was gone. 8...
Bobby, my gorgeous little boy, you were the first of so many things. My first long haired. My first golden. My first main show entry (even if you didn't do very well it didn't matter to me!). My first bite from a syrian
(even if that was my fault). You were so many firsts for me and I'm sure you've started off many new loves.I hope I didn't fail you darling, you were getting so much better. I hope that although you were a bit poorly recently your days were still full of happiness and joy. I'm glad you passed away in your sleep, I mean what more does a hamster love than to sleep?
Run free my special little boy. I'll never forget you. How could anyone forget that cheeky little face and fantastic personality?
