Goodbye lovely little Chip. I'm sorry you had to suffer, I really wanted the best for you, you made me very happy. I can picture you now in Guinea Pig heaven.

So sorry for your loss of your little boy. Please know you did everything you could for him, you really battled hard. Massive hugs to you at this sad time.

RIP Chip

Sorry to hear the loss of your piggy. Was he ill for a while?

I am so sorry he did not make it. You did your best and you must know that.

I've just read Chip's story. bless him, you really did all you could but sometimes they still leave us. Sleep well little one xx

So sorry for your loss .... They may me little but have such a big part of our lives xxxxxxx

Sorry to hear the loss of your piggy. Was he ill for a while?

About a week, only I think I may have missed something. Suffering today, keep thinking if only......? It's a horrid feeling, watching him suffer was terrible. Chip was only a baby. Thanks for your support.

Oh I think they go down so quickly.... I had that feeling when we lost coco and the only thing I could think when looking back was he slept alot more. It was very sudden with him aswell. I think you need some time to have a good cry, a time to miss him and then a time to know you did your best and that your piggy was loved x

I feel for you, losing a much loved pet is like losing one of the family.
I was distraught when we lost Sheila piggy in April and for a whole week, found it hard to function - I missed her so much (and still do) The questions you ask yourself are normal and part of the grieving process, you'll have good and bad days but in time, you will have other thoughts in your head when you wake/sleep which I then felt guilty about as it was almost like I was moving on...
Do you have a resting place for Chip ? Many people find it comforting to have a little memorial and a special place where you can remember the life you shared.
We still have Sheila in her little casket on the fireplace with candles and a small bunch of fresh flowers I buy every week or so, I bought a little wooden engraved plaque with a picture of her sitting on a rainbow and an engraved heart inscribed with a personal message. I like to think she's safe and still very much part of the piggy family. I do find since she passed that I make a huge fuss over Bruce, her huspig even though he has two little wives now, I often talk to him about her and wonder if he misses her too :(
Time is a healer but Chip had a wonderful life with you so try and focus on the lovely times you had rather than the end...Chip would want you to be happy and is safely guarded by the mommy/daddy piggies at The Bridge :)
Hugs x

Your thoughts and comments have really helped me, thank you. Chip is buried in our garden and I'm going to buy a special plant to grow in his spot.

Aw I think that's lovely. By the way when we lost coco earlier this year I bought a dicentra bleeding heart bulb over where we have Coco buried. In a few weeks I think it will have flowers on it xx
