Goodbye our darling Choccy

Our gorgeous little Choccy passed away on 5th April. I've only just been able to post this now. We were all heartbroken when we woke up to find that she had passed away. She had been suffering for a couple of weeks and after two trips to the vet and a course of antibiotics, the pneumonia got her. I felt very guilty for quite a while for not acting sooner. She left behind her lovely but dominant pal Lilly, who was by her side through her illness and when she passed away. Choccy was our hairy, shy, cheeky girl with such a cute personality. She was the under pig, always squeaking and running from Lilly's dominance but heading for comfort next to Lilly whenever they were out of the cage together. She wasn't even 3 so we were all really unprepared for her passing.

What a gorgeous piggy. So sorry you lost her, clearly you were extremely caring and attentive owners, but sometimes their little bodies just succumb despite our best efforts and it’s heartbreaking.

You gave her a lovely home with Lily and the tribute and photos are filled with love.
