Goodbye Pepe

My beautiful ginger cat Pepe had to be put to sleep this morning.

He has suffered from a Kidney problem for a long time but over the last few weeks went quickly downhill and stopped eating and didn't seem to be able to get comfortable when he tried to lie down. It was a heart breaking decision but it was felt by my whole family that it was the right decision as we didn't want him to suffer any more

He has been a much loved part of the family for 20 years so he lived to a ripe old age! His sister sophie is still with us and hopefully will be for some time to come.

The vet came round to the house and before she came, my Mum and I took Pepe outside in the back garden to enjoy the sunshine one last time. He loved to sit out on the lawn sunbathing!

He went very peacefully on his favourite bed and its a comfort to know he is no longer in any pain.

I am very sorry for you - Pepe has been part of your life for so long that it must be rather unimaginable to be without him!

I am sure that he appreciated your love and care right to the last, so he could make his last journey in as much comfort as possible.
