yesterday my sweet pip squeak past away and left behind her companion Stella. Pip squeak was the one that made more noise and always pinched the carrots from Stella. She had stopped eating and we took her to the vets on Thursday and then brought her home she started to have trouble breathing and sadly past away before we could get her back to the vets. We miss her lots and are trying to comfort Stella and spending lots of time with her. We are hoping to get another companion for Stella.
RIP pip squeak

I'm sorry for your loss :-( sweet dreams pip squeak xx

So sorry, you can tell by the pictures she was lovely.

I am very sorry! What a lovely girl! It sounds like she either had acute heart failure or a galloping URI. :(

Here are our tips on what you can do for a bereaved companion: Looking After A Bereaved Guinea Pig
You could contact Milhaven GPR or BARC in Barnsley for a new friend; they are your closest good rescues. With a girl, you can look at both neutered boars or other sows of any age. Guinea Pig Rescue Centre Locator

Been to pets at home today and adopted a sweet little Guinea pig called honeypot, she is 18 weeks old so have are in a separate cage in the same room has Stella hopefully both will get along when we introduce them. I just fell in love with her when I saw her all the other babies there did nothing for me but honeypot just melted my heart

I'm so sorry for your loss - Pip squeak was a very cute little piggy. I hope that she and her new companion hit it off after the initial period of quarantine.
