Yesterday, our sweet Arthur G. Pig passed away. A little more than a year since we lost his brother, Winston. Only this time, the vet doesn’t know what caused him to pass. He was recovered from a cheek wound. Eating and drinking just fine. Full of life and love. Until yesterday when he was limp. When my fiancé came in with him, I knew. But we still rushed him to the vet. There was nothing we could do or could have done to prevent this.
Arthur, you were the sweetest penthouse pig we’ve ever had. I’ll miss your smiles and how you always wanted to pick out your strawberry. You were the light in the dark time. I’ll miss your little popcorn dance when we gave you your parsley. I knew when we adopted you, we’d be there for your entire life, but you wouldn’t be here for the entirety of ours. But that doesn’t make it hurt anymore. I hope you’re playing with your brother, Winston on the rainbow bridge.
