Goodbye sweet boy..

Last week my 4 yo boar Barney started acting weird, staring at the corner. Took him to vets, he had a lump which was a suspected abscess. He went for a surgery to have it removed but they didn't find any pus during the operation so they didn't remove it. They did further tests and then the vet advised another surgery to remove the lump as he coped so well with the first surgery. First two days after the initial surgery he was slowly improving, happily taking the critical care mix and still being curious and cheeky. Last night he deteriorated and struggled to walk/hold himself up. Brought him straight into the vets, she advised his temperature had dropped and they kept him in to stabilise him. Poor boy fell asleep whilst in their care.

I miss him so much, my cheeky boy. RIP

Thank you for your kind words. I'm feeling very numb. Getting his ashes in around 8 days and have ordered a little box to put them in. My other old Boar seems good at the moment but will keep my eye on him. xx
