I am very Sad to report that Buttercup was pts today. Her passing has affected me greatly, she was my eldest and the last of my original herd. I am sure Blossom and Violet will be waiting for her and I can honestly say my life has been enriched with their wonderful and colourful lives.

They introduced me to their lives after a shaky start in their original home and loved nothing more than popcorning around the dining room carpet floor when daddy was working away.

My sincerest thanks to Debbie at the Excellent Animal Sanctuary and Simon Maddox and his team whom did everything they could but her age and clearly other issues made her recovery difficult.

She was my friendliest pig and clearly the loudest shouter for food. I don't know if I ever be able to adopt another piggie after Buttercup.

I am so sorry. I met Buttercup last week when we dropped off biscuit and titch and she was such a lovely girl. You have lots of happy memories to hold on to and she is gallivanting with the others now. Sleep well pretty one xx

I feel so very sad that we weren't able to help Buttercup. I only knew her for such a short time but she was such a beautiful and gentle girl and I am really missing her. It doesn't matter how many piggies pass through the sanctuary, they all have a special place in my heart and when we lose one it is so very hard.
