Sadly, last week, we had to say goodbye to little Calliope, better known as Callie. We've had her for 18 months or so and she was only 3, so it was really hard to say goodbye. She had a really bad URI and despite antibiotics, went down hill really really quickly and in the end we had to help her across the bridge.

Callie had gorgeous long hair and liked to be stroked. She hated strong smells and would run away from basil and mint! She liked exploring and was always chutting around her home.

She lived with her sister Hessi and husboar Saul, who seem a bit lost without her.

Callie is the dark one in the pictures.

HUGS

I am ever so sorry for your loss. Callie was a gorgeous lady!

It sounds like she could have caught one of the really nasty bugs (pneumococcus, streptococcus, bordetella etc.) against which traditional antibiotics are usually not working. They are one of the nightmares for every caring owner. :(

A sudden death is always hard on the companion who will not grieve any less.

I’m sadden to hear about the loss of Callie. We lost Broly a while back to a respiratory infection and he too went downhill quickly. He was fine one moment, a few hours later we’re rushing him to the vet and he passed shortly after.

I can tell you loved Callie very much.
*hugs*
