Goodnight Eevee, our little dwarf hamster. She was a dynamo in a tiny body, like nature's tiniest pitbull. She was feisty and fearless and not to be messed with. I will miss her hoovering up the toast crumbs from my plate after breakfast each day. We have a lifetime of Eevee stories from our time with her, and although a hamster's time with us is always short, she certainly lived every minute of it. We will miss her death-defying cage-climbing acrobatics, her giant anime eyes, her general crazy antics, and all the times we distracted her with Cheerios so we could pat and kiss her little head without fear of being nipped, because nothing distracts like a 'hamster donut.' As my daughter, her main human, said, "She's biting angels in heaven now." RIP, little Eevee. I know you are giving all the other Rainbow Bridge hamsters a run for their money tonight. We will miss you.
