My beautiful Fred passed away last night.
He was 6 last month.
He was fine in the morning for early morning snuggles And a lunchtime ran out to munch on his fresh grass. But when I came home in the evening I found had breathing heavily, still on his feet. I got him out for cuddles but he couldn't settle(not like him), he didn't even nibble my fingers.
I could see he was in pain and knew I couldn't leave him like that. So phoned the vet for an emergency, But before we could get there he collapsed, had a sort of little fit and died.

My darling Fred I miss you so much. You where always first to the door for food, hanging out of the open door standing on your back legs happily wheeking. I loved to watch you in garden munching and popcorning in the sun. The cute little way your ears flapped when you were dreaming.

Your lust for life was infectious, but you were so small and frail. I love you so much, you are forever in my heart. George and I send you hugs.
Sleep tight my beautiful piggy baby . xx

Popcorn free over the bridge. Huge huge hugs to you and you pr other pigs. Xx

Thank you so much. Right now I feel so heartbroken and guilty, I loved my ginger nibbley piggy so much. But there is no cure for old age.

Thank you again for your messages. Finding it difficult to cope right now, it helps to have people who understand. Thank you xx

Massive hugs, i am really sorry for the loss of your little one. In time the pain will fade and happy memories will always fill your mind, you gave him a great life please remember that.

Sleep well little boy

RIP Fred

Huge hugs. I am so sorry for your loss. I wish that we could keep them in a time capsule at their healthiest and most glorious best but sadly age catches up with them (and us). He sounds to have had a life well lived in love and luxury and to have been well up til his last day. Take comfort from that. Popcorn free handsome Fred xx

I know how hard it is, we lost our 22 year old cat two years ago and i hadn't been able to bring myself to have another pet until we got our piggies in December. I know it is heartbreaking when a member of our furry family passes away but you have to remember that you have always given them the love and care that they need and their lives have been happy. It hurts so much because we love them and they can never be replaced but eventually you will find that you have a place in your heart to share with new piggy friends.
