Adult Guinea Pig
My little white gerbil has finally stopped fighting and scampered over the Bridge. I adopted them about 15 months ago from p at h. One brown gerbil and the white one. It was obvious they were older than I had been told, but had been well looked after. The white one was of colour a few months ago, just quieter than normal. He had a growth on his scent gland but I decided as he was eating to just leave him alone. He rallied round a week or so ago mostly due to me feeding him bits of apple and shelled sunflower seeds. He even started coming out the cage when I left the door open! He had been quiet yesterday I checked his teeth but on picking him up realised he hadnt got long to go. I gave them some more bedding put some food near him and just left them. He was cuddled up with his friend when I went to bed but this morning he had gone. His friend seems fine at the moment, I have half cleaned the tank out and given him some tubes to chew. Gerby had a lovely year or so recycling cardboard and making a general mess!
