Adult Guinea Pig
I've very sad to say I lost my gorgeous George yesterday morning.
He'd stopped eating so went for a dental last Monday and Friday and still hadn't eaten so he went in for a GA for further investigation yesterday morning. The vet called me while he was under to say that she had found a lump, tested it and it came back as Lymphoma. We decided to let him carry on sleeping.
George chose me, he was the reason I went to the Wheek and Squeak to get one friend for Spike and adopted 4! Him and his brother rushed out wheeking their heads off at me and I fell in love.
Sadly George and his brother Gerry didn't stay in love and were both prescribed girlfriends after Gerry bit George and an abscess swelled up to the size of a golf ball over night.
During the few months they lived separately George really blossomed. He became very confident, very loud, my alarm clock in the morning and always looked like he was smiling. He was such a happy chap.
When he met his girlfriend Poppy he didn't know what to do. They both sat next to each other as calm as anything and he remained a true gent, never mounting her.
George was a great cuddler and face licker! He was especially great at moping up tears.
He's going to leave such a big hole. He would have been 5 at the end of August.
Here's my smiler
