Today we had to have our beautiful girl PTS.

Megan was part of a rescue that Walsall RSPCA took on board, when Vicky got hold of her she and another piggie were in a horrendous state. Megan lost her Teeth, was blind and one eye had rotted away to pus and had a nasty infection. It was very touch and go if Meggy would make it but she did, she has always been a fighter and such a strong willed piggie. Megan had special needs and needed a home away from other piggies who may have bullied her as she was inbred and very slow :) When she first came she would take ages to eat so Walsall needed her housed separately, we were lucky enough to be chosen to give this special little lady a forever home, she joined us in January 2012.

Meggy Moo was so special in many ways. Slowly she came out of her shell and would no longer sit facing a corner of her cage, she began to be able to eat faster too and finally could eat pellets without having them mashed with water :) She became more like a normal piggie but still retained a unique character. She wasn't scared of anything at all and you could pick her up one handed :))

She was a bundle of unusual noises and because of her strange head shape she snored and would snuffly hoot around after food and had no real voice so could only manage a hoarse wheek. Her snoring was sometimes so loud you could hear it above the TV, she was a avid watcher of the TV show Blue Bloods :)) and would sit down on our laps until she got bored to watch it most nights and then she would go for a wander, trying to fit where she shouldn't - such was her pesky nature.
Moo Cow could also produce an extra ordinary amount of poo in such a small space of time, there was no stopping it she needed poo picking many times a day and had a habit of making a poo milkshake in her water bowl!

She loved her Mum and Dad and I know took comfort from us these past difficult 48 hours were we battled against her bloat but it became to much today and we couldn't see her in any more discomfort so had to help her across the bridge where I am sure she is filling the meadow full of poo as we speak, I seriously hope the gardener has a lot of time to poo pick up there.

She was unique and there are so many things Rach and I will miss about her, her sounds, her sweet face, the way she would charge around the cage while you were poo picking and filling up her hay tray, her little furry belly, her wiggling bottom as she walked and most of all her companionship and the feeling of love off her. She knew we always tried to help her and I hope we gave her the life she so desperately deserved. I wish we had had more time together and made her 2nd gotcha day but it wasn't to be.

A cosy Piggyfan made for her, which she would sleep on

Night Moo

You have given a very special lady a very happy time and have got lots of love back. That creates a unique bond; it is tough to get used to her not being there anymore as she's been such a close part of your daily life. But I am also sure that you have got a very special little guardian angel now...

RIP Meggie-Moo

Hope you and Rach are ok.
Popcorn free Meggy Moo! She was such a beautiful, and very special girl and you should feel very privileged to have had her in your life, as she gave back as much love as you gave her.
Between her and my Rosie, rainbow bridge will be drowning in piggy poops.
RIP precious xx

This is such a beautiful and heartfelt tribute. I am so sorry your beautiful and wonderful girl was taken from you. She had such a wonderful character. The forum is not the same without her.

Sleep peacefully little princess. You will never be forgotten.x

Such a wonderful tribute to a very special girl. To lose any pig is sad enough but when they are such a big part of your daily routine with extra poo picking and regular medication it makes the loss even more noticable. Night night beautiful Meggy Moo xx

I didn't know much about Meggy until I read your tribute to her - she sounds as though she was such a special and unique piggie, and she couldn't have had a more loving home than she had with you. I'm so sorry that your time with her has come to a close - she must leave you with so many precious memories. Thinking of you both...x

I am so sorry about Meggy moo :-( .
What a beautiful and touching tribute to a beautiful and special girl! She was much loved by yourself and Rach (and us on the forum) and you both gave her a wonderful home. Sleep well Meggy Moo. ((hugs)) x

A beautiful tribut to Meggy Moo Lee. I'm so sorry for your loss, it seems that it's often the very special ones who we only get to share a very small amount of time with but that time is always extra special. Sleep well Meggy Moo, you were loved and will be missed so very much. x

Oh no. This is so sad. I feel like I have heard loads about Megan in the 6 months that I have been on this forum. You gave a wonderful home and so much love to such a special little lady. She may not have been with you for long but she has made such a huge impact. She will be a huge miss.

Big hugs to you both x

Goodnight Meggy Moo, you'll be sorely missed. Sleep well little one.

I'm so sorry Rachel and Lee, saw a sad loss I hope you guys are ok, she was a very special piggy and was so lucky to find her forever home with you. x

Oh deary me, so many piggys bring lost at the moment. So sorry you lost your little girl but what an amazing story and she had an amazing life with you both x

Oh Meggy Moo, you sweet lady. You always reminded me of Dindy in the way you looked and that massive personality of yours. Run free girl and every one here at Dindy Towers is thinking of you and you mum and dad.

Sleep tight Miss Moo. You were a very special girl with a special Mum and Dad who would have done anything for you.

Rach & Lee, she had an awesome life with you, she came on leaps and bounds from when she first came to you and you should be super proud of that. She was such a character and will never be forgotten, I am sure that in years to come you will still find the odd Meggy poo somewhere squirrelled away and know she is looking down on you and the girls.

A special girl for special people. Huge hugs to you both. x

I really didn't think the world could be a sadder place until I heard Miss Moo had left for The Bridge days after we lost Livvy and Amelia :soz: :(
We met Meg at the rescue the day after her eye had been operated on and knew she would need 'special' slaves to give her the life she needed - we adopted the other scraggy girl Sally from the same rescue and Lee and Rach adopted Megan. What happy days
She truly was a character with her missile approach in the poo sense and many times I've sat giggling at the stories you've shared about her - what a wonderful little girl and wonderful people who love her so much :luv:
Run free lovely Angel, play safe with the others at The Bridge - find Cookie, Treacy, Pitch, Putt and our Rainbow girls - give them a hug from us all
