I had two beautiful buns when i was younger, unfortunately they both died before they reached a year old due to mouth cancer, and tumours, which we tried to treat but the cancer was very aggressive they were put to sleep around this time fifteen years ago, the vet was lovely and we had a final cuddle with our buns before they went over the rainbow bridge.

We got Jodie and Chloe from a place called bunnyland, when they were tiny, the owner told us they were female dwarf rabbits, however as they grew and my parents read up on bunnies we realised they were dutch rabbits and...they were boys!

However by that point I had already christened them Jodie and Chloe and their names stuck, Jodie was the adventurous one and Chloe preferred watching the world go by, and being tickled behind the ears. They both liked sitting in the kitchen and they soon learn where mum kept the carrots, and veggies, and usually you found chloe hopping out the back kitchen door with a carrot in his mouth and mum chasing after him!

One summer day Jodie joined me (I was six at the time!) in the paddling pool and from that day on loved a paddle in the pool, usually after I hopped in myself.

They were very much loved and you would also find Jodie and Chloe helping dad dig up his veggie patch or whenever he was planting seeds!

I know that over the bridge my boys will causing trouble, and getting up to mischief together!

I never got to say a proper goodbye to them when i was younger, as i thought that they weren’t really dead and the vet was actually going to make them better and bring them home, but he never did bring them home. So I wanted to say goodnight to my childhood friends and make a little tribute to them.

You are, and always will be the most amazing buns, hope their is lots of carrots growing in heaven for you, I know granddad will have a veggie patch up there for you to cause havoc in and nana will put the hearth on so you two can have a cuddle next to the fire, and one day I'll be with you to have fun again in the back garden and to share my Sunday dinner with you.

Missing you Jodie and Chloe,

Lots of love and kisseys to my special buns
