Peachy went to the bridge this evening, she had a chest infection, took her to the vet yesterday and she was given baytril and fluid in her skin. She reacted well to it and had really perked up when I took her to the vet again this morning.
Unfortunately this afternoon, I changed the cage bedding, had been experimenting with using shavings and hay but went back to fleece and towels this afternoon. Peachy had been used to hopping through the gaps in the C&C grid (the supporting one) but with the fleece bedding raising it up, she got her head stuck. I didn't see this happen, and I don't know how long she was like this but my daughter spotted her. I took her out and held her but knew she'd been there too long.
She passed awau in my arms at tea time tonight.
