Junior Guinea Pig
Our silly Sephy said goodbye to us yesterday morning. I thought we had a bit longer with her, but I guess it wasn't to be. She leaves behind her third husband Cap, and her new best friend Pheme.
Sephy came to live with us when she was six weeks old, with her sister Xena. The love of her life was a much older boar called Errol, who she fell in love with the second she saw him. After he died, she lived with Logan and Xena, then Cap and Xena, and most recently Cap and Pheme.
Sephy absolutely adored Pheme, they had such a sweet bond like I haven't seen between sows before. Always together, always following each other around, always cuddling. Cap was a bit of a third wheel, but he still got lots and of eye kisses and strutted around like he was the alpha, so I don't think he minded too much. Where Xena and Sephy would bicker, Pheme put up with Sephy and seemed really glad to have a friend. I'm gutted they didn't get longer together.
Sephy was a chirper. I remember the first time, I have a grainy video of it, I couldn't believe what I was hearing. She used to do it about once a month, usually at night. I'm going to miss that sound.
