This is the most dreaded post I've written as I lost my sweet little piggie Mouse. She was my oldest piggie at 7 and a half years old, and after loosing my other two last month, I was hoping Mouse might make it til after Christmas but it was not to be. She had been slowing down but it only in the last two weeks that she went down hill. One of her companions has a a habit of licking the eyes of the others and I foolishly thought that she had an eye problem due to this. On Friday, she was diagnosed with an eye ulcer behind her eye and we had medication to help her with it but it was all in vain and on Wednesday I had to make the hard decision to let her go.
She was so full of life and zest. When I went to get her from Pets at home with her little face and extra back toes she had, I fell in love. Her habit of licking my nose and biting me to let her have it, was something else. She would be the first one to get to door of the hutch ready for breakfast or to see what was happening. I could tell when she was not in a good mood as she would nibble my hair by my neck.
Its still hurts and I wish I had more time with her but no amount of time would be enough.
