Treaca Beaker, Treacle, my little Breaker...I told you it was ok if you were tired, I didn't expect you to actually listen! First time for everything I suppose. Thankyou for allowing me to comfort you before I left you to rest for a couple of hours, after a whole year of being bitten and grumbled at, it meant more than you know that in your hour of need you climbed your little front feet into my hand and lay your head down to rest on me. You always took your job of being Cinnamon's guardian so seriously, so in a way, I'm not surprised you wanted to waddle off after her, i'm sure she's waiting for you so she can actually meet the rest of the pigs up there, she always waited for you to go first.

You were my fearless, strong little Tasmanian devil, a Rottweiler in a piggies body. Thankyou for knowing I was trying to help you, in spite of the token bites to let me know you were still in charge of the situation!
Ebony misses you, she hasn't left your hidey since you left. When I lifted it at 4am for your syringe feed and found her there instead of you, I knew you had gone. When I found you in the corner it was obvious she had tried to wake you up again.. i'll look after her, don't worry. You concentrate on enjoying yourself up there, give my love to all the other piggies! ❤❤

I've liked your tribute as it's very moving and full of love and caring.
Me my piggies send you massive hugs and a big extra cuddle. losing a piggie can and is very hard to cope.
Treacle you rest now and find all your friends in rainbow world. Course now and then remember those you left at home as they will you. ❤❣

Thankyou everyone. I still can't believe she's gone, I keep getting up to prepare some critical care before I remember she has gone :( I'm just glad after everything, she passed quickly and peacefully and that I was able to give her a big kiss and say goodbye before she left, because I was fairly sure she was going to leave when I popped her back into her cage. I don't even know when I will get her ashes as the things they use for footprints aren't being delivered until at least tomorrow so the limbo between dropping them at the crematorium and being able to bring them back is much longer than normal..which is the part I find the hardest.

Thankyou all, Ebony is doing really well today now that she has 2 new friends, she's wandering about and eating well.
The room feels very strange, getting new pigs for Ebony almost immediately after losing Treacle feels wrong, but it was the right thing to do for her as she's so happy. I'm sure I'll get used to the changes soon.
 
Aww buddy, I am so sorry. That was a truly moving tribute to your little piggy, she was utterly stunning and had the most perfect life with you. Massive hugs to you x I do hope Ebony is doing okay

Aw Thankyou, there still seems like there's something missing, losing both her and Cinnamon in such quick succession has been absolutely awful. But the 2 new bundles of joy are keeping us all on our toes. Ebony is living her best life with them, I've not seen her so happy for ages! There is something about the pair of them, it's almost like Bramble has sent a piece of herself back to us, they remind me so much of her. Pippin has her one black ear one tan ear, same sides..as well as her sharp little eyes, Bailey has her little nose blaze, a cheeky independant personality and unruly hair that may as well be a tumbleweed. So similar but so wonderfully unique in their own right. I was meant to find them for Ebony I think. They've taken away any grieving issues for Eb. And while it's taken me some getting used to, they've definitely helped. I'm sure Treacle would have had a love/hate relationship with them, never happy unless she was bossing someone around haha but she also liked a quiet life and these 2 are jet propelled! Cinnamon would have adored them..

We get to collect Treacle Beakers ashes on Monday, it will be good to have her home again.
