Last night when I came home from work, I found my Zuki shaking in a corner, when lifted up his body went stiff and his eyes were sunk. He was dribbing and looked like he was retching (but obviously they can't be sick).

We rushed him to the animal hospital near us and left him overnight for treatment that may help him improve.

8am we received a call that he'd gotten no better. So we gave the word to let him go to sleep.

Zuki was possibly 4.5yrs old so had a good life. He was such a beautiful little pig.

I'm so sorry you've lost your lovely Zuki, it leaves such a hole in our lives when they go. Rest in peace little one.
Your memories print is a beautiful idea.
 
I hope there's someone where he is that will care for him. He didn't know the other pigs I had and hated the one he was paired with in the past. Kenya (the pig we have left) was probably his best friend... The difference between when he was bonded with Zambi and bonded with Kenya was striking... the change in his personality was amazing too... he went from being withdrawn and miserable to being the happiest little thing...

I now have to think of Kenya and what to do with him. I would never give him up and I don't really want him living alone... but do I get him a baby or an adult and well Kenya probably won't be alive by the end of the year, leaving me with the same problem later on. Kenya has a tumor.

They say its full of rainbows, maybe ill go there one day
So although your sad they had to go
It's like a holiday you'll meet again soon

Remember the directions, I told you the way
So ill see you Zuki at the rainbow bridge one day

I wrote this poem when I lost a little one, hope it takes some of the pain away :(
