Google and Jeeves (Photo heavy opps)

Hi everyone. I just thought I would dedicate a little thread to my two boars Google and Jeeves. I adopted them this summer after a little girl no longer wanted them. Her mum wanted to make sure that they had a good home and when I was asked if I knew anyone who wanted them I just could not resist!

I had guinea-pigs as a child but never boars and there was so much I didn't know! I am so glad that I found this place and wanted to thank you all for all the information and hints and tips - such as bathing pigs and cleaning the grease gland. I also had no idea about giving piggies veggies everyday and I don't think their previous owner did either. So thank you guys for improving my piggies quality of life! They now get veg every day - red and green peppers, green beans, sweetcorn and some fruits once or twice a week.

The boys were quite unhandled when I got them but there has been a big change especially in Jeeves. Jeeves now comes running to me when I go outside and wheeks away at me! Google is still very very timid but we can handle him now without him panicing and he does eat his veggies when he is on your knee. Here they are:

Gorgeous lads aren't they? x) I have fallen hook line and sinker for my piggies and I can't imagine life without them! :))
 
Lovely piggies, I'm so glad you've helped these two lovely fellas. It's sad that so many people take on a pet and don't have any idea of the requirements and needs of these animals. It is hard to imagine the day to day commitment when you're looking at an adorable creature. Even I got fooled when I fell in love with mine - I forgot the hard work and time that's involved with guinea pigs, as much as if not more than my two small dogs and two tropical aquariums. x>>
 
Thank you - yes it is sad that but as you said you don't stop and think about the day-to-day care and how much work it really is. When I was trying to convince my husband to let me have them I told him that they are hardly any work at all and not to worry! Its amazing how I actually didn't realise how much time and work they do take up - but I love looking after my animals so its a pleasure for me rather than a task. I love them so :)
 
Aww theres lovely, love the names , were they already called that or is that what you have called them?
 
They were called Google and Patch. So I changed Patch to Jeeves! Hee hee!
 
Hehe I just love the names and looks like they are happy piggies and have a happy home thanks for sharing the lovely pics x)
 
Thank you :) I think they are rather handsome too! My best friend loves them too so they get lots of cuddles when she comes round!
 
They are gorgeous, so glad they have found a loving home with you. :)
 
Theyre a couple of beauties arent they, and the name Jeeves sooo suits him...look at his face in the first few photos! lol

Its lovely to hear that they have a fab new home, with the level of care and dedication that they deserve.

They are utterly gorgeous too, and look so well cared for too :) x)
 
Thanks everyone - I am not convinced that Google looks happy though - poor piggy is so scared all the time! I am trying my best with him though!
