Gordon and his long hair disaster!

So this morning I picked up Gordon (my sheltie) and I felt something under his arm pit, I have been brushing him everyday to keep his coat untangled but today there was a lump! :{ It's right under his arm pit and on closer inspection it turned out to be a tiny rubber band that has knotted around his fur! I tried to slowly pick it out but he wasn't happy so I'm just waiting on my friend to help me cut it out with some nail scissors...I don't know how this band got in their as I don't own anything like it.
Pointless post really but I wondered if anyone else had found 'items' in their long haired piggies?!

I haven't yet, but I find twigs and branches in my dogs' fur all the time. One of them lay down today and jumped up crying and was limping, but it just turned out a twig with thorns was stuck on her leg hair!
