Hope it's ok to post this here.
Down to our last guinea pig our darling little girl 'Pig', she had to be put to sleep the other day due to heart failure. She had a long and varied life, but we do miss her.

I had just ordered some GG ointments but now obviously have no use for them so was wondering would any rescue like them. I can post them to anywhere in Ireland or the UK for free but only to rescues.

I have almost a full bottle of GG origional 4 oil shampoo.
A trial size tub of perfect paws ointment.
A trial size tub of happy soles ointment.
Both trial sizes have been unopened and are more than enough for one guinea pig for a couple of weeks.
Also have some Johnsons vit/min suppliment.

Would rather they go to rescue rather than just wasting them so if anyone is interested let me know, either via here or [email protected]

I am sure the rescue will be nibbling your finger off for these! Do you have guinea pig rescue locally save on postage?

if no local rescues take them and your willing to post overseas (id pay postage) id snap your hand off for them, am dying to try the gg range for our piggies here at Little Paws, but am apprehensive to put in an order, then find with the postage costs to here, that it turns out to be an expensive loss if we dont like them!
but, i understand if you prefer to give them to a local, uk rescue too :)

Maybe email chrissie from gorgeous guineas and see how much postage will cost she is very helpful... Sally from pampered piggies did it for me so I don't see why she wouldn't tell you, just email what you want and explain your overseas and can she tell you postage!

I'm sure she'd be more than happy to help! :)

I'm sorry about your loss hun.

It;s a wonderful offer you've made thank you for thinking of the rescue piggies.

This is sorted, have just contacted the rescue to let them know.
Sorry if I didn't get round to replying to everyone.

There's no local guinea rescues here although there is one or two that do take them in but none have guineas and rarely get them in. I'm not sure if that's a good or bad thing, either there's not as many guineas in need as there was or guineas aren't being noticed and are suffering in silence.

In general the majority of guineas that have come to rescues in the past have been 'accidental litters' or rescues direct from pet shops and the occasional pigs dumped.

Hopefully it's a good thing that there aren't as many in need, certainly it seems more owners are becoming clued in over here.

Now we have no piggies of our own hopefully any time I have a couple of quid spare I can pass it one to various piggy rescues in the UK and any rescues in Ireland that end up with them. We'll be moving to a smaller place (if we can sell) so won't be taking on any piggies ourselves.

It's hard work rescuing pigs, even one rescue who's brilliant and take in all sorts from dogs, cats, rabbits and horses etc. hadn't realised the work involved ..lots of cleaning out.
