hello everyone!

My piggies are finally on the road to recovery after gettuing a positive ringworm result and on oral medication for 2 weeks. it seems to be clearing up already. :)

I have finally made my c&c cage with 3 grid panels by 5 panels and a second floor on top. what's best to use as a tunnel up to the next level?

I am absolutley loving having guinea pigs and was wondering if i could add two more boys to my little brood or would it be better to separate the cage and have two pairs as am looking to getting two more sometime in the future and the cage to me seems really big just for the two of them? maybe? but would love advice as dont want to dot he wrong thing? Rocky is quiet and subdued and is quite happy taking his time over things and loves cuddles whereas Scruffy is a little wilder and is always running and pop corning around and is adverntours with new toys tunnels etc but he gets unsettled and wont stay still when holding him and only quiets down when we put Rocky next to him...... i dont want to get 2 more piggies if its goin to upset them or cause boar fighting....

any advice would be great!

100% better to have two pairs, more than 2 boys in cage will nearly always end in severe fighting. Boys work in pairs as you will always have your alpha male, 'boss pig' and the other is normally a bit more submissive or laid back, in a group this is challenged leading to fights. It is also not a natural set up for them, in the wild there would be 1 male and several females.

By all means have an additional pair :) I have two pairs of boys, i have a two storey c&c with one pair upstairs and one pair below and this works fine.
Cute piggies by the way! x)

Boars are generally best in pairs. I have yet fingers free on my first hand to hear of trios that have made it without separation through the hormonal months. Quartets are even more unstable

I would recommend going for already carefully bonded rescue boars; that minimises the chances of fall outs. Here is a list of piggy bank approved recommendable rescues.
