Got the GMP urge!

I really really really reeeeeally want more piggies! but I really shouldnt, I should be happy with the two I have :)) (which I am they are lovely) But I really want some little girlies. All my pets are boys

Thats not a good enough reason to GMP is it :)):))

I have an empty cage.....

Will having girlies around upset my boys?
 
if they are not neutered, most probably and their relationship will be beyond repair.:(
 
Well, I have 2 girls living above my intact boys, and things have wored out fine. There is abit of tention from time to time, but nothing serious.

I think it boils down to their personalities really, but George and Alfie know they are there and have excepted it. They don't come face to face at any point, as that would drive them wildx), but things have wored out very well for me.:)
 
As long as they are rescue piggies why not?

I have boys and girls living side by side with no problems at all - I think as long as you are sensible about washing hands etc between handling the different pigs you can avoid potential problems.

In my 'pig cupboard' I have a group of 3 girls with a neutered boar on the top of 2 cages of paired boys (in a stack of 3 cages) in the hall right next to them I have another stack of 2 cages with pairs of boys then in the living room there is another stack of 2 pairs of boys cages alongside a cage with a sow and her 3 baby daughters.
 
I have 4 girlie living in a C&C and my 7 boys are in cages. :)

No problems although I would say when I first got my girls Flora and Fleur who were 3 months old Sunshine and Mr Twinks who were teens at that stage fell out, but they did get into the girls pen and their relationship was never the same after that!

But yep it can work. Put as always you have to weigh it all up. :)

I have the GMP too as Jasper is a lone pig but I need a bigger cage first! :D I also have GAH urge Get a hamster...lol

Thanks :) good to know! I probably wont get girls... might just get some boys and give them girly name :)):)):)) (joke!) I dont think Id like to upset max and ollys balance.. they are both very teenage hehe

On the hamster front... they are very very cute but awfully dull hehe, We have a little fella called harvey and I never see him! He sleeps all day and wakes in the early hrs to rattle about on his wheel. I do take him out in the day sometimes just to have a cuddle and look but feel so mean because he looks so sleepy and bewildered and his eyes say I want to go back to bed!



GP's are MUCH MUCH more socialble.. When I come down every morning there are two happy excited little faces peering and wheeking up at me waiting for their veggies.

Rats are also gorgeous! another one of my furry faves.. I'm hoping to get a couple in the new year

Oh, I know the feeling - I have 2 girls and would love to get a couple of boys as well. But first, I need to get a new bigger cage for my girls and decorate the spare bedroom as that is where they will be moving to.......and then, maybe I can get a couple of boys which will be probably about this time next year.
 
I don't think having a couple of girlies would upset the boys, only if they could smell them, but yeah if they were in the same room it might upset!

i've had that urge a few times this year! i had no piggies this time last year, now i have five rolleyesrolleyesrolleyes do it if you want to! you'll get a feeling of completeness when your family's complete,just like i have now. but i have four girls living together, and a line boy who i lavish attention on and he's happy solo for now, though he's moving in with the girls when he's old enough to get the op and we find the vet we're 100% happy with to do the op. Though we may just get him a mate... rolleyes dont tell my OH that though as he'd kill me!
