can guinea pigs have grapes ? i always given them to them but actually never though untill now wehther their actually alllow them

Yes they can, seedless I wouldn't give ones with seeds in and half them as they are a choking hazard. I hardly give these as they are full of sugar but they are nice for a treat. :)

Joey, who is no longer with me, loved grapes. I would half them for him but only gave him them in small quantities so they do contain a lot of sugar and can be acidic. In the end though, when he was only eating soft fruit such as grapes and tomatoes, I let him have so much as he wanted.

Always feed seedless though as SunshineAndTwinkle said.

Seedless grapes and in moderation because they are quite sugary.
I give mine grapes and sultanas as a treat.

I do give mine grapes, but to be honest, they aren't very keen on them. Plums and bananas are they're favourites, although they don't have them too often :):):)

Cool i didnt know pigs could have benanas .. i shall try that today to see if my pigs like it !,lol
yea i make sure it only given as a treat once every two weeks and to make sure they are pepless .

many thanks guys

are my piggies normal? they don't like grapes or fruit of any kind, they're not over keen on carrots even but they LOVE kale and go crazy for it, they love dandelions more but that is just a real treat once a week.:))

Go easy with banana just a very small amount occasionally since they can cause constipation

no my boys are so fussy it makes getting their veg really hard for them! Kale you need to be also careful on the amounts i do believe too.

My 2 adore grapes, plums & tomato.it takes me ages to cut everything up for them at feeding time I always hide them underneath the kale & lettuce but Smudgie has got wise to this & he puts his paws in the bowl to tip it up so he can get to the best bits, Coco sneaks in under him to make sure she gets her share. Its brilliant to watch.Guineas aren't as daft as they look!

thanks for that will try mine with them tomorrow :))

All of my piggie's i've had have had grapes and they go mad on one and i like to watch them stuff the last piece in and the juice all dribbles down their chins heehee
