Hi,

Is the occasional grape okay to feed guniea pigs?

Many thanks :)

Yes, seedless grapes are fine (or take the seeds out of them). Mine love grapes but I only give them very occasionally because of the high sugar content. :)

our pigs love them! i give them one each every now and again. they munch through it really quick!
I also give them the occasional blackberry when they've ripened on the bramble in our garden at the right time of year, they love them too! it stains around their mouths though as they are both totally white!

Most of mine like grapes, some have to have them cut in half as they can't work out how to eat it with out it rolling away :(|)

I gave lilly the miss messy pig a grape a few days ago then she climbed into the bag and ate like, 6 or something. That was a fun cage clean ;) x

My piggies love grapes! :))

(I know this thread is about piggies, but I thought I'd just add: grapes are very dangerous for dogs! So be very careful . . .)

useful thread

This thread has been really useful.

We've just started giving grapes to our boys, they love them but as a new fruit to their diet have only treat them to 1 small grape every 3 days.

They really love them! Does anyone know if it is alright to let them have say 4 or 5 in a sitting once a week?

Thanks :)
