My boys have been out in the lawn all day today, that’s not unusual, but the lawn is greener now than it was a few weeks ago. I have just put the boys to bed and given them their veg, but I did give them a little less than normal - the veg given tonight was mostly green and red peppers (for the vit c) and a tiny amount of carrot tops, a tiny piece of lettuce (probably only amounts to half a small leaf between the two of them).
I then went back to clean out the run and noticed that their poo was perhaps a little softer than normal. Figured it was because of the slightly lusher grass. As I say, I didn’t give them as much veg tonight and I am not worried about them, but for tomorrow would it be best if they were kept off the grass and their veg allowance limited for the day?

I wouldn't give them anything grass or veggies tomorrow to allow the guts to balance out again. Are they used to going out on the grass for extended periods? If not then it needs to be built up over time rather than putting them out all day. I know I left Daisy out last year for about 2 hours for her first grass session and she ended up with diarrhoea which is not a pleasant experience for anyone :)) She's been fine this year but I started with 30 mins and built it up from there, they haven't been out for more than around 3 hours though otherwise my other half complains about the amount of grass they have eaten :))

Thanks, I’ll keep them in tomorrow then. As I say, I’m not concerned about them, I just didn’t want to make a problem by continuing with my normal routine tomorrow.
Yes, they are used to being out for long periods but the lawn has been a bit patchy because of the hot weather. It has started to recover all over now so rather than their run being on half scorched dried grass and half green grass, it’s full green grass.

I would leave them for 24 hours after the poops have firmed up again to be sure. Perhaps just put them out for a couple of hours and build it up again so it doesn't hit them too hard. It's that irresistible and somewhat elusive grass. They obviously thought they needed to scoff it all in case it disappears again :))

Will do, thanks for your help.
I can’t blame them, it’s looking so much nicer than it was!
