I haven't but it seems like a great idea!
I grew grass in an old cage last year and it worked really well. You just have to make sure there are holes in the bottom of whatever you're growing it in
We want to do our garden up and very keen to keep lawn weed free so will probably need treating occasionally so thought this might b a good idea so my girls can have safe grass all year round in there run. Will give it a go and see how I get on.
this is exactly what i am currently doing! i bought a plastic dog bed from the range- they do all different colours and sizes. mine came with holes in but if your didnt you could easily drill some in. i use cat grass/ wheat grass as i find the pigs like it better and its more nutritional i think (but i could be making that up haha). you have to make sure that you dont leave it in for too long though as they completely demolish it ! i have 3 and the bed is about 60cm wide so i leave it in while I'm at school (6 hours) while i cant put them on the actual lawn. also i keep it indoors so it stays dry if it rains meaning i can put them on it anytime. another tip i have is to keep it near the hutch and so you can empty old water bottles into it - i forgot to water mine for a couple of days and lets just say the pigs were NOT happy!
