Grass for bedding?

My guinea pigs cage has to be cleaned today I don’t have time to go to the store too buy more bedding, but I do have a TON of grass I could use. Would this be okay for just one week?
 
Not really. It will get wet quickly from their wee. You could use newspapers with hay piles on top. Can you not order some?
 
What bedding do you normally use that you’ve run out of?
As they always need to have hay available you could use that as a bedding with something absorbent underneath.
Fresh grass isn’t a suitable alternative though
 
I used to use washable puppy pads underneath and hay on the top. I was very happy with this and used it for years. The only reason I stopped is my piggies are not longer outside and are in a garage. You need to get hay from your local horse supplier though as you get through A LOT of hay.
