The pigs had grass for the first time this year today. For my little rescue boy Charlie it was probably the first time he’d ever tasted grass! And I think it’s safe to say he likes it. :)

My poor faithful run didn’t survive the winter so I’ve ordered a new one that’s due to arrive Tuesday. So at least the pigs can take full advantage of thwonderful weather and get out and about.

Let’s see some photos of your piggies enjoying this lovely weather during this difficult time!

As always, I hope everyone is staying safe and well.

All mine, when l agree to take them in, they come to their forever home, boars are neuter, and my herd is free ranged. They want for nothing.
I take my hat off to you 😊. How many boars do you have? Is 36 the most piggies you've had at any one time?

6 boars, most was 48, if you care to look at the thread "it's here" you will see their home.
I have just been through that thread and my jaw dropped. So. Many. Times. You have achieved something so great, for both yourself as a guinea pig lover and for all those pigs you've given a forever home to. The time and planning and work has paid off hugely.

I only have 4 piggies in a double storey 6ft hutch. My walls are like yours, 20mm thick log lap! My boar was from the RSPCA, apparently 'taken from a house in Wales'. He has a completely torn ear and a bit missing from his other. It breaks my heart that may have happened in a group and he might have had to fight to stay alive. He's so gentle, he's a little braver now he's been here 3 weeks and is using his voice to say 'no, don't pick me up, help I'm being kidnapped!'. He lays next to my older girl who's 4 and a half now, and who lost her sister in March, whether she's on her snugglepad or in her fleece tunnel. He just seems to keep an eye on her. And she's thriving, her eyes are clear, and she's so responsive. My other pair are girls whose teenage owners went to secondary school and 'didn't have time for them any more', so were given up to a local guinea pig rescue. All four will have the best life I can give them here, and even though I can't compare my 4 to your 36, all that matters is that my pigs enjoy their life, with proper care, good food and real love ❤️

Thank you.

Your 'hutch' is out of this world. I thought spending the money I did on a hand built hutch. None of this plywood rubbish. I thought I'd provided well for my piggies. And for my foursome, I think I have. I won't take on more piggies than I can provide a good life for.

But yours, it's beyond everything ❤️❤️. I feel I've seen your dream and all those furbabies you have. Just wow. What a truly special human you are x
