My husband has turfed our garden for my new babies. I want to know if i feed the grass(fertilizer),will it harm them? Or does anyone have any tips for keeping the grass nice?

You can feed it, if it's turfed then you'll just need fertiliser (rather than weed and feed). Use a nitrogen rich one at this time of year (then phosphorus in autumn). You can buy pet safe fertilisers but I'd still allow time for them to disperse after application.

If the turf has just been laid then you're going to need to wait three weeks anyway before using it. I'd feed it now and make sure it's kept watered in this weather and then in a month it'll be fine for the guineas.

I have my lawn treated by Green Thumb four times a year and I will keep mine off the grass after treatment until I have cut it three times.
