Grass Storage

hi.. me and Tanya, my 2-month-old Peruvian, live in a city so it's hard for me to feed her fresh grass every day. so i what i did, i store my fresh grass in the refrigerator.

I've put pots of hand cut grass in the fridge for a couple of days and it's been fine. Not sure how long it will last though

Yes, I also cut the grass, put it into a plastic bag (closed) into the drawer of the fridge (the one for vegs) after spraying it with some water. It keeps fresh for 2-3 days. It depends on the type of the grass, but 2 days is a good time for all the types. You can serve the grass directly from the fridge, if you keep it into the drawer where the temperature is never too low.
This is how the grass looks like after two days into the fridge:

this is the same grass after the harvest

remember to spray dandelion leaves, but also the other grass and the bag itself.
At the third day the piggies realise that the grass is "old" :hmm:and sometimes they poo on it
