Daddy slave mowed the grass, and left a strip a bit bigger than the run…..neighbourhoods must wonder why! We have had various patches that have been left for the boys to mow this summer, this is the smallest.
Pigtures of the boys “at work”.
The one with both of them makes me laugh, Hamish looks quite fierce!

What a good daddy slave! Our grass is ready to mow but they haven’t built up their tolerance. So I’m just cutting some for them every day.

They look happy!
Wish I could get my husband to leave some parts of the lawn longer for my piggies and bunnies - they always look most dismayed when I put them in their runs and the grass is shorter !

Lack of grass for us to cut to bring in on rainy days, quickly meant he left a patch. Also disappointment from boys after the grass was mowed once. Think piggies have trained him!

Hi, how old are your guineas? I have 2 babies now 6 weeks old, I'm letting the grass grow in their run area (they've not been outside yet) they love the grass I pick for them, I'm so wanting them to enjoy being outside before it gets too cold!

Hi! Our Guinea pigs are probably coming up to around 2yrs old. We make sure it’s warm enough before putting them outside. I am sure there is a guide somewhere on grass time if you look.

We leave a patch at the back that I can cut and wash. The main lawn is mown by the big slave! Much to the piggies dismay. 🙁

The boys are 4 and the girls are 3. You have to build up slowly so they don’t get an upset tummy. I’ve not been doing it regularly enough to let them free on the grass. And my husband cut it yesterday so I can’t cut them any!

that grass looks scrumptious! As the one who does the mowing in my family, it's great to ensure mine always have a tasty patch ready ;) They have such pretty faces <3

Lucky piggies having all that luscious grass. My OH hasn't bothered mowing the lawn this summer. We just move the piggies runs (there are three of them) around the garden every few days. It doesn't make for a very pretty lawn but the piggies are happy. We even have a tarpaulin which goes over the runs to keep the piggies (and the grass) dry if there is a shower whilst they are out.
