Has anyone experienced this problem. I have to gently pull out the grass nearly every day from one of my boars (Tommy). He drags his bum along the hay / dried grass because his girlfriend lives next door thru a mesh. They kiss but can`t live together for `obvious` reasons.

It doesn`t seem to bother him.

haha everyday i do the rounds and with 8 boars at least 1 of them always has some hay stuck up there,6 of mine are on fleece so i also occasionally find little bits of fluff in there,it becomes very routine after a while x

My Mimsi is a 'bottom dragger' too and I have to check his bits every day. I found a small bit of carrot in him once as well as bits of megazorb and hay! Its just one of those things with boys and as long as you check him regularly he should be fine. I often wonder what my piggies must think of me when I go poking and proding at their bums! Just as well they are so good natured.

speaking of what piggies think,
OH doesnt like doing it to much because he says "I'm worried they will think I'm gay" i cant help laughing lol

I have to do this to my boar too, he always has little bits of hay stuck there lol. He doesn't like it one bit.

Me too. Mine must think it the height of indignity, but I just say 'it's for your own good', and carry on pulling! lol xx

My boar DOES think so, and is telling me QUITE clearly what he thinks of my ministrations, thank you! Thankfully, he's not a particularly bad offender!

Oh goodness!
I saw a little bit of fluff poking out of Rockys bottom once and I pulled it out, but I've never noticed any other 'foreign objects'!
This will sound a bit grim so I apologise in advance - but how deep should I be looking into their bottoms when checking them?!
xx

most things are visable from the outer area,a few times a week i get a wet flannel and wipe slightly in and around there are just to keep it clean x

This thread does make me laugh lol....I am just so glad it isn't just me and my boar going through this.
