Grass

Just a quickie!

The girls are starting to get some grass off the lawn to help prepare them for when they go out in the run (if/when it warms up). As this is extra food, do I count it as hay or reduce the amount of fresh veg they get slightly?

I'm just aware that whilst Pippin is a very athletic looking piggy, Poppy had a bit of chub on her.

Fresh rich spring and autumn grass counts more as veg, nutrient-low summer and winter grass more as hay.

as i slowly introduce it, i reduce their veg slightly. once introduced then i count it as hay. basically what wiebke said
