I have gathered some grass for my piggies by hand, but now I'm a bit worried about it fermenting, how long does it stay fresh? I don't come by 'clean' grass that often as I live in a flat in a city.

You have to feed it straight away as it starts to ferment very quickly.

You could always grow grass in trays indoors on your windowsill for them
