Just gave dot some grass for the first time , not alot but she absolutely loves it. I havnt washed it its just picked from out the back of my house. No one goes on it, not even dogs. Just the odd fox

I also gave the new piggies a little bit of grass and dandelion today.

Mine love grass above all else. Glad Dot enjoyed her introduction to the green stuff.

I always knew when my boys weren't feeling right or were sick, they loved grass so much and that's the only time they didn't want it!
They used to spend hours outside grazing, in the summer it could be from 10am - 7 pm a day!

She was like a kid in a sweetshop. I take it grass is really the ultimate thing they can eat. Nice and moist and fresh. shes been less active the last 2 days and i think its boredom so the grass woke her up a bit. Roll on burnies neuter, cant wait

Mine love grass. When the were confined to the patio cos the grass was burnt and no longer edible and looked like this:
parched garden July 2018.webp
they weren't happy piggies at all! So dutiful slave found a patch of 3ft high grass and gave it to them and they loved it!

Haha good old betsy getting stuck in

Can pigs get mites from grass and bloat?

Not heard of mites from grass but they can get bloat if you don't introduce it gradually. I put mine out on the grass for half an hour first of all then increase it by half a hour every 2 days until they are out all day. It takes about 2-3 weeks but it's worth the hassle so that they don't get bloat.

I think Betsy has another fan @Skypipdot!

All the others are lovely too. But betsy stands out, where did you get her from? Id like to know her backstory

I bought her from Pets at Home. So there is probably a bit of everything in her! She should be called Heinz! Only that's a boys name.

Dot keeps not eating during the night then when I'm active round the house again shes comes out and eats. Strange
