has anyone ever found bugs like grasshoppers in there hay?

I just found a dead flat grasshopper in my guineas hay, was kinda yucky :P

Luckily I haven't found anything yet apart from the odd stick. The grass hopper thing is pretty yucky though :o

Oh my lord! Thats horrid. My friend bought some hay for her bunnies and got half way through the bag before she found maggots..... eughhhhhhh :o

I have had a dried dead frog and a live earwig in the hay :o :o :o

I was most upset by the earwig ;D ;D ;D

i havent found anything yet but your findings are making me a bit wary good job i wear marigolds when i put fresh hay in the huts i would hate to touch anything like youve been describing especially the squashed mouse :o

ok now I don't feel so bad about my grasshopper, I get my hay from a local man who sells timothy hay for cheap in small bundles, so if I find a mouse he would hear from me lol
