Can someone please give me another option of what to use in cleaning the my boars grease gland. I cannot find swarFega, Dawn or malaseb in the Market here.at the moment I just use a johnson and Johnson baby shampoo to soak it for about 5 mins and then bathe them every other week.it does help but maybe later the grease will be more thicker.
Thanks.x)

Fairy liquid? xx:)

I use a guinea pig shampoo neat without any water.

A good amount rubbed into the area then leave on for five minutes or so. Wash away with warm - NOT boiling water and wash the whole piggy with the shampoo and just keep massaging the grease gland. It will all come loose.

It's a bit gross but as long as it's done each time they have a bath it shouldn't be a problem.

I've also wondered what I should use to clean the grease gland?
I don't like to use chemicals, as I can't imagine this being good for the skin etc.

Does fairy liquid work? Or anything else?

Thanks for all your answer will just try to get the fairy dishwashing liquid as I think this will help, their grease gland is not that thick yet. Have a good evening.

Please don't use fairy liquid on a piggy!

Just get some guinea shampoo and put a blob on without wetting the grease gland. Rub it in and keep going. Leave it for 5 minutes or so then wash off rubbing it as you go.

Then wash the whole piggy with guinea shampoo.

Uh okay. Thank you. I'll do the usual piggie shampoo before bathing them. Big thanks.
