hi, i just recently learned about the grease gland that guinea pigs have and so when i give my pig a bath i do my best to clean it but after 2 years of not cleaning it i cant get him clean! I've been using cetaphil but its just not working. any suggestions?

Get some swarfega gel and massage it into the grease gland area leave for 10 15 minutes and then bath your pig as usual with pig friendly shampoo, making sure to focus on the grease gland area mainly. That should work :)

I'm not sure whether you would have Swarfega gel in America (it may be called something different). In the UK you can buy it from hardware stores and it looks like this:

It's used by mechanics and various other workmen to get grease off their hands, but it works wonders on piggy's grease glands too!

If you can't find it, then I've heard that some dilute washing up liquid works well too (but I can't personally vouch for this as I haven't tried it)
