Junior Guinea Pig
Hello, wondering if anyone can help. I have been on here before asking for advice for flaky skin. I have had my two boars at the vet a few months ago and they were treated for a small infestation of lice. Vet said it was nothing bad, completed there treatment of invermectin and hoped that would be it. Ever since one of my boars has a chunk of hair that’s a lot greasier than the rest, on inspection I noticed a lot of flaky skin and he absolutely hates being touched there. I hoped a gentle bath would help and allow the grease to go and hopefully the dry skin but no avail. He really won’t let me near it now and has even tried to bite, something he would never do before. I know he needs the vet again as it’s not going away on it’s own. Is this another possible lice infestation or worse? He has long hair with rosettes which I trim often but worried I am missing doing something if he has yet another infestation or something. Any help would be appreciated
