I have just called the vets and Cornelius Fudge is fine after his 'little op' and I can go and get him at 3:30.

He had never been to this vets before so he had to have a health check first while I was with him this morning. The bill will include this health check, the operation and the follow up appointment to have his stitches removed.

How much do you think the vets bill will be? (I know but am so surprised I want you to have a guess).

£30? If you're surprised, I assume it's pleasantly surprised :)

Nope. Not letting on if the surprise was pleasant or unpleasant.

Edit P.S. Forgot to add that it included a complimentary nail trim too.

CairaPatricia was the closest at £30. It only cost £25.35. I could not believe it, I was expecting to pay twice that.

I pay more than twice that! Although my vets keep them in overnight, I assume they factor that into the charge as well.

That's amazing! My vet says "guinea pigs are the low cost pet" so it's really true in this case!

I thought it was good when she only charged me €10 for treating three of them for mange, but that's better :)
