Green Beans

If you have a fussy piggie like me. He will NOT eat, strawberries :o and basically everything else I have tried. My biggest success has been with the green beans. I just can't seem to keep enough around here. I'm so glad he loves them though! He has also quite enjoyed dill, romaine lettuce, kale, spinach leaves, green peppers cucumbers and parsley YUM! So we just basically stick to that but if there are ever any green beans in that veggie bowl... sorry to all the other veggies but they get picked out and pushed away untill the last bean is gone. :))
 
Well my girls agree, they loooove their green beans too :)
they both turned their noses up at strawberries, but ate the little green stalk and leaves :))

oooooooh green beans drool.......getta out the way you piece of cucumber :(|)
 
Try Chicory, not all supermarkets sell it but keep your eyes out. My piggies love it! so when I see some I grab it for them. Melon is also a big favourite with them.
 
mine love green beans too, but i once spent a fortune on allsorts of different veggies for them and put a load in their pen, thinking they'd be overjoyed, but they still ate the dandelion leaves first! that's their absolute fave x
 
Not all piggies will like strawberries, although they'll usually eat the green, leafy bits and stalks.

I would still continue to smuggle in the odd other veg; persistence often pays off. Have you tried coriander and broccoli? Be careful with feeding spinach and kale too often - they are both very high in calcium and that could cause problems with bladder stones down the line if your boy has a disposition for them.

Yeah, I did that too... big mistake on my part lol what a waste cause I didn't like anything that I bought.

Yeah, he loves spinach leaves, way more then anything else. But after about a month of spinach I read somewhere that those cause bladder stones and kidney stones, he hasn't had any of those since lol and he HATES brocolli wont even go near it. I have a picky pig!

You're right, spinach leaves should really only be fed as a treat and not too often :) my girls only get them once everynow and then.
Broccoli leaves are another fav of my girls, i often go around and pinch some off the other heads of broccoli in the supermarket :red
