Has anyone tried this hay/grass? Friendly Green Oat ReadiGrass
I'm thinking about ordering it :)
My pets have not tried oat grass/hay before so I'm not sure how much they can eat.
Is it okay for daily feeding or is it better to give it a few times a week as a treat?
 
That's interesting, it has lower calcium content than traditional readigrass :) I would say it's more a teat hay, best given only a few times a week, just a handful :)

Mine love readigrass too, we are running out of it and I can't order anymore until Friday :(
I think I will order a bag of this and a bag of readigrass unless someone posts a negative review :)
 
The Oat ReadiGrass arrived yesterday - took ages to be delivered to Sofia! But the pigs were sooo excited, ate all of it and were the product they liked most (they had Oxbow's orchard grass hay, timothy hay, AlfaAlfa King oat hay and AlfaAlfa King Timothy).

Aw, I'm glad they enjoyed it.
We ordered some a couple of weeks ago and Sammy and Lucky love it :) we will definitely be ordering more when we run out.
I also ordered alfalfa king timothy hay and they didn't like it at first but now they want it all the time
I'm thinking about ordering the alfalfa king oat, wheat and barley next.
I'm not sure about oxbow orchard hay, is it just like meadow hay?
 
orchard hay is softer than timothy hay,mine really like it,it is very green.i use it as a treat hay.please can i ask where you have ordered the Oatreadi grass from?
 
I ordered them all from The Hay Experts. The service was really great, they all arrived neatly packaged and very quickly. But - the hay itself wasn't too good though, I am not impressed either by Oxbow, or by Alfalfa King (we're yet to open Alfalfa timothy). I so want to find high quality, tasty, fragrant, soft and green timothy or orchard grass hay, price isn't a factor (well, as long as it isn't the $1500 quote I got from a company to just ship KMS hayloft hay to Europe :eek:), I just want it to be good.
