Whilst replenishing my hay supplies today, I came across this alternative to the normal readigrass I give my boys sometimes. Has anyone given it to their piggies before? I only give my boys a pinch of the normal readigrass every so often, does anyone know if it's any better or worse for them? It was like Aladdins cave in there with all the different choices of hay and food available :D

ive given it to mine, its demolished in five minutes ! oat hay from timothy co.uk goes down quick as well.:)

Normal readigrass was too rich for my old girls with bladder issues and sensitive tums. This went down a treat. Burns oat hay is good too as a treat with extra calories x

Great, Thankyou! :) So I'm guessing it's better for them but still feed in moderation? As in a sprinkle about twice a week x

Yea this is great and a fab alternative to the normal readigrass, the pigs actually preferred the oat grass I think! More nutritious too!

I don't know readigrass because here it does not exist... don't ask me why...
But I am reading some info about that product which seems to be very good!
I copy-paste what I am reading online:

A tasty blend of rapid dried fresh grass with young oat grass, making a rich green and aromatic mix of stalky, leafy, yummy grass.

Green Oat ReadiGrass is made exclusively from Friendship Estates fields in the heart of Yorkshire and harvested at an early stage whilst still fresh and green before the grain develops. Its crunchy stalks, yummy leaves and fibrous husks provide tasty variety in your pet’s diet.

Friendly Green Oat ReadiGrass is a delicious alternative to dried grass or hay. It is packed with all the essential nutrients that keep your furry friend in tip top condition!

Rapid drying ensures this product is aromatic and full of nutrients. Yummy!

Key benefits include: Beneficial Fibre - A great source of nutrients and keeps digestive system moving effectively.
Protein - Balanced protein delivers energy and supports healthy growth.
Vitamins & Minerals - Required to maintain health and keep coat shiny.
Dental Health - Encourages natural chewing instinct and keeps your pets teeth worn and healthy.

Crude Protein 11%, Total Oils 2% , Crude Fibre 28%, Calcium 0.41%, Phosphorus 0.26%

(perfect, I see... just like fresh grass which in winter is not available)

I give a sprinkle on top of their meadow hay as a treat twice a week. They love it, it has a very strong smell and they get ever so excited when they smell the bag come out of the cupboard.

how do they make readigrass? who knows? maybe there is the recipe on Cookaround.com... :))
I really can't understand why, but in Italy it is neither sold nor produced... Maybe because here grass is available all year round?
(Today a bad grass expedition, I cut my finger for cutting the grass... I had to run home with my finger bleeding )
