After having my guinea pig lay on my yesterday, I realized that my shirt was wet. I looked to see some sort of green liquid. I thought it was some type of throw up since his butt was clean. Then I looked in his cage this morning to see this. Maybe it’s these dried peas he’s been eating.. Anyone have an idea of what it could be? And if I should be worried?

Could he be having trouble chewing his food properly or swallowing? The dribble could be a symptom that he's having some difficulties eating his food properly, maybe.

Should I be worried if the green substance is starting to clump at his mouth now?

Hiya, I would recommend seeing a vet as soon as.👍 We are unable to diagnose correctly or even at all just purely on the internet- only a Veterinary professional can get to the bottom of the green substance.

Have you fed anything different recently? Is he still able to drink/eat?

I've only ever had my first sow develop a green foam that coated her mouth and made her drool. However, she was also very unbalanced and displayed a head tilt.

Are you able to see in the little ones mouth for am obstruction?

From noticing my piggy had difficulty eating, it was 10 days until I couldn't save him. I didn't realise then that being able to eat a little wasn't ok, as teeth wouldn't be ground down properly and things would get badly worse very quickly. See an exotic vet as soon as you possibly can. See the syringe feeding guides on here and start weighing daily. Hope things will be ok.
